This command allows you to use the data in your labels files in other applications such as databases and word processors. For instance, you may wish to do a mail-merge in your word processor with the labels you have entered in a label file. No problem.
Choosing this command will bring up a dialog box containing the options for output. The first two options above the double line allow you to choose whether you’d like all the labels in your file to be included in the exported file, or if you’d only like the labels you’ve selected to be included.
The next four options allows you to choose how the labels will be exported. The first option, Database Text File (Tab Delimited), will output a text file with a tab separating each field and a return at the end of each record. This format can be used by most databases, word processors (for tables, etc.), and even spreadsheets.
The second option is identical to the first except that it places a comma between each field. This format is also used by many programs, you’ll have to consult your program’s documentation to see which format to use.
The third option, Label Manager File, will simply create another label file which will contain the labels you chose to export.
The forth option, Text File (Listing), will save the labels in a text file one after the other just the way they appear when printed. This is probably only useful with a word processor for preparing permanent reference printouts, etc.
